The Valparaiso University Chorale, under the direction of Christopher Cock, performs Jubilate Deo, for mixed chorus and percussion, as part of a multi-choir concert in celebration of the 500th anniversary of the Lutheran Reformation during the University's Homecoming Weekend.

The Valparaiso University Chorale, under the direction of Christopher Cock, embarks on a tour of Wittenberg, Leipzig, and Reutlingen to perform concerts in notable venues such as the Wittenberg Schlosskirche and to participate in a worship service at Leipzig's Thomaskirche in celebration of the 500th anniversary of the Lutheran Reformation. A concert in Reutlingen will include two Bach cantatas and an array of new choral works which include Frank Ferko's Jubilate Deo for mixed choir and percussion, a work commissioned by Valparaiso University.

The DePauw University Chorus, under the direction of Kristina Boerger, will present a concert which focuses on Jacobone da Todi's Stabat Mater text. The concert will include "The Mother," for soprano solo and unaccompanied chorus, one of the interpolated movements in English from Frank Ferko's Stabat Mater.

The Drake University Choir of Des Moines embarked on a tour of the UK, January 5-17, 2018, with performances at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle; St Michaels’s Without, Bath; Holy Trinity Church, Stratford-upon-Avon; Coventry Cathedral; Ely Cathedral; Pembroke College Chapel, Cambridge; Old Royal Naval College Chapel, Greenwich; St Paul’s Cathedral, London & St Martin-in-the-Fields, London. The concert program consisted of modern choral works, including O verbum Patris" from The Hildegard Motets. The choir's pre-tour concert was presented at Central Presbyterian Church in Des Moines on January 4th.

Bella Voce, Chicago's premier a cappella choral ensemble, conducted by Anne Heider, presents a program which she has curated in recollection of Bella Voce’s evolution out of His Majestie’s Clerkes since 1982. The program will include the first motet that Frank Ferko composed in 1991 for His Majestie's Clerkes, O ignis Spiritus Paracliti, which has since become a part of The Hildegard Motets.

Prelude to the Armistice
The Greater Kansas City Chapter of the American Guild of Organists presents organist Ann Marie Rigler and mezzo-soprano Alice Anne Light in a concert which looks ahead to the upcoming centenary of the armistice that ended World War I. The program includes Cartes postales de la guerre for mezzo-soprano and organ, on texts by Guillaume Apollinaire. This work received its world premiere in July at the National Convention of the American Guild of Organists.
