Stabat Mater
Frank Ferko is pleased to announce two upcoming performances of
Stabat Mater presented by Cantori New York
with soprano soloist Katerina Burton, conducted by Mark Shapiro. The work is an hour-long, a cappella setting of the 13th century Latin text with interpolated English texts relating the
experiences of mothers who have suffered the devastating loss of a child.
The performances will take place on May 15 and 16, 2026 at the Church of St. Francis Xavier, New York.
