Bella Voce, continues to celebrate its 35th anniversary this season with a concert conducted by Anne Heider, who conducted the ensemble for many years and guided it to become the Chicago treasure that it is to this day. Dr. Heider was responsible for the commissioning of Frank Ferko's Hildegard Motets and Stabat Mater, which have become modern classics in the choral literature. Mr. Ferko is honored that his motet, O ignis Spiritus Paracliti, will be presented in this concert along with music by John Tavener, Charles Hubert Hastings Parry, Frank Martin, Einojuhani Rautavaara, Anne Heider, and other distinguished composers.
